Survivors!
With The Wreckening nearly upon us, now’s the time to start thinking about how you prepare for what’s coming next.
Big changes are on the horizon—huge ones. As you’ve likely seen from our recent updates, this will be the largest update Idle Outpost has ever had. The in-game economy is evolving. Combat is being reworked. Missions are changing—not just how they function, but how many types you’ll encounter. Pets? Changing. Flags? Gone.
Surviving in this new world will be a completely different experience.
While we’re still fine-tuning the details and can’t reveal everything just yet, there’s one thing we can say: not everything that’s valuable today will hold the same value after The Wreckening launches at the end of March.
For example, you may want to think twice before investing heavily in certain gear or upgrades. Some items—like your Shovels—might be worth holding onto if you plan to carry them into the new system, while other progression paths may not translate as effectively into the new combat model.
We don’t want any Survivor to feel like their hard-earned resources were wasted. So it’s worth considering when to spend what you’ve earned. Some resources—such as Shovels, Gems, Diamonds, and Ad Tickets—will carry over unchanged. The question is:
Do you spend them now, or save them for the new opportunities The Wreckening will bring?
One thing you don’t need to worry about: your progress.
Everything you’ve built in your Outpost will still matter. Your time, effort, and investment will carry forward and shape your starting point in this larger, more complex world. Veteran Survivors can rest a little easier—at least with one eye closed.
We’ll be sharing more details about what to expect in the coming weeks. Until then…
We’ve got a world to save!
