While Trade Gear keeps you safe and Herbs keep your stores stocked, the true endgame of Trade progression lies in the dust of the old world. We are excited to introduce Books—the permanent power-up system designed to scale your economy into the stratosphere.
Knowledge is Power
Unlike gear that wears down or herbs that need constant replanting, Books are a permanent investment. Think of them as the "brains" of your operation. Each book you collect unlocks lost strategies and forgotten techniques that provide passive, stacking bonuses to your entire Trade network.
How to Build Your Collection
To get your hands on these relics, you’ll need to brave the Library Run. This isn’t your average dungeon crawl; you’ll be weaving through ancient shelves and fending off the "Librarian" guardians to secure Library Tickets.
- The Gacha System: Spend your hard-earned Tickets to "draw" new books.
- Rarity Tiers: From common guides to legendary manuscripts, there’s always a rarer find to chase.
- Duplicate Utility: Pulling a book you already own isn't a waste. Use duplicates to Enhance your existing copies, significantly boosting their base stats and bonuses.
You can’t utilize every book at once. Success depends on how you curate your Active Bookshelf, which features five slots for your most impactful bonuses. This allows you to pivot your build depending on your current objectives—whether you're optimizing for raw gold yield, herb cultivation speed, or gear durability.
Key Mechanics to Remember:
- Enhancements: Don't ignore duplicates. Use them to level up your existing books, significantly scaling their base multipliers.
- Rarity vs. Utility: A fully enhanced Common book will often outperform a base-level Rare book in the early game.
The Library Run adds a new layer of depth to Trade progression. While Gear and Herbs provide the foundation, your Library provides the long-term scaling necessary to dominate the high-level economy.
So are you ready to get into all the Wreckening!
